BIRNAM PATIENTS HIT THE NEWSPAPER HEADLINES!!

The story that prompted tremendous response in our last issue of VET to PET was the one about a Dobermann patient that was defying cancer and living an active, enjoyable life. Since then her story has been in several newspapers and magazines prompting much interested in Cili Bao, the Chinese fruit drink that seems to have saved Mnandi's life. The good news is that Mnandi is still going strong - a year after being diagnosed as exhibiting a malignant cancer (osteosarcoma) of the bone - and in facts seems to be going from strength to strength since taking daily doses of Cili Bao - fruit crystals from a Chinese Rose bush.

Another Birnam patient a Scottie dog called Bonnie also hit the headlines when her story was featured in The Sunday Times on June 11.

She was diagnosed by an eminent veterinary pathologist as having a malignant infiltrative Fibrosarcoma - involving the toe - with a differential diagnosis of an Amelanotic Melanoma with a poor prognosis.

The toe was amputated. However, the dog was soon back with excruciating pain and another portion of the toe was amputated.

Unfortunately, the wound developed into an ulcer that was getting bigger and bigger. As a last resort we gave Bonnie daily doses of Cili Bao. Six weeks later she was scampering around as if nothing had ever happened.

The wound had healed and on palpitation no pain could be elicited. No other treatment has been instituted.
